lympia National School Pune proudly celebrated its Annual Sports Day 2026 on 20th February 2026 at the Divisional Sports Complex, Yerwada, Pune. The much-anticipated school sports event brought together students, parents, and faculty for a morning filled with energy, athletic excellence, and vibrant performances.
Students from all grades enthusiastically participated in a series of innovative and engaging races designed to develop physical fitness, coordination, agility, and cognitive skills. Events such as Getting Ready for a Picnic, the Cone and Ring Challenge, and the Smart Brain Speed Race combined fun with skill development—reflecting the school’s commitment to holistic education in alignment with CBSE co-scholastic objectives.
Spectacular Athletic Performances
The Annual Sports Day also featured impressive demonstrations including Yoga drills, Pyramid formations, Lezim performances, and Aerobics displays. These synchronized performances showcased discipline, teamwork, and months of dedicated practice by Olympia National School students.
Parent Participation and Community Spirit
A highlight of the sports day celebration in Pune was the enthusiastic participation of parents in specially organized races. Their spirited involvement added excitement to the event and strengthened the bond between school and families—an integral part of the Olympia learning community.
Chief Guest – Mr. Surya Thathu
The event was graced by Mr. Surya Thathu, an accomplished Indian cyclist who was part of the Indian Cycling Team at the Pune Grand Tour Challenge 2026 and represented India at the Asian Road Cycling Championship 2024 in Kazakhstan. A recipient of the Shiv Chhatrapati Award (2020) and ranked Best Cyclist of the Year 2024 (CFI Rankings), he has secured 12 National/University medals and 10 State Championship medals, along with multiple podium finishes in national open races.
His motivational address inspired students to pursue excellence in sports and maintain the true spirit of sportsmanship.
