Olympia National School Pune Annual Day 2025–26: A Retro Ride to the Metro Beat

One of the most anticipated events of the academic calendar, the Olympia National School Pune Annual Day, took place on Sunday, 1st February 2026 at the Symbiosis Auditorium, Vimannagar—and what a celebration it was! The venue came alive with colour, music, laughter, and boundless energy as students, teachers, and parents came together for an unforgettable morning.
With the lively theme “Retro to Metro”, the event was a musical journey across decades of Bollywood. From the iconic charm of the 60s to the high-energy beats of the metro era, the stage turned into a time machine where every performance transported the audience to a different generation.
Over the past month, students and teachers worked tirelessly—practising steps, perfecting formations, and building confidence—to make the day a grand success. Their dedication shone through in every performance.
Students of Grades 4, 5, 6, and 7 took the audience back to the golden age of Bollywood, dancing to classics from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. The nostalgia continued as Grades 1, 2, and 3 lit up the stage with energetic performances from the 90s and early 2000s. The youngest stars of the day—our Pre-primary students—stole hearts with their adorable moves to songs from the 2000s to 2025, proving that enthusiasm has no age limit.
The parents matched the students’ excitement at every step—cheering, clapping, and encouraging them to shine on stage. The atmosphere was electric, filled with pride, joy, and plenty of camera flashes.
A special mention goes out to all our students—the introverts, the extroverts, the natural performers, and the hesitant first-timers—who stepped out of their comfort zones and embraced the spotlight. With the gentle guidance and encouragement of their teachers, every child found a moment to shine.
The teachers themselves set the tone for the day with a spirited welcome dance, earning loud applause and plenty of smiles from the audience.
The event was graced by our Chief Guest, Mr. Ajinkya Sambhaji Balwadkar, Trustee & Managing Director of Phoenix Bahuddeshiya Samajik Sanstha and Managing Director of Mount Dale School. An accomplished education leader and an international-level Modern Pentathlon athlete who has represented India six times, Mr. Balwadkar shared inspiring words with the students, encouraging them to pursue excellence in both academics and sports.
The celebrations also included the Annual Report and the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where students were recognised for their achievements, including awards for Best Student and Highest Attendance.
From retro classics to metro hits, from shy smiles to confident performances, the Annual Day was truly a celebration of growth, creativity, and community spirit.
